Britain is the leader in offshore wind energy country, running seven wind farm capacity of 530MW, and a total of six projects under construction 1.2GW to increase in 2012 another 900MW.
Denmark’s Horns Rev and Nysted offshore wind farm up to 500MW, is expected to reach by 2012, nearly 1GW offshore wind power generation capacity.
Germany in 2004 and 2008 was only set up three offshore wind turbine power generation, including the 2004 Ems Emden of 4.5MW and 2008 Hooksiel of 5MW wind turbine power generation. The first Alpha Ventus wind farm to 60MW. Offshore wind power generation is expected in 2012 will be set 1.4GW.
