Sweden, Great Falls Power Company was the UK’s largest wind power contract
Swedish state-owned power companies – Great Falls Power Company (Vattenfall) and Scottish Power (Scottish Power) combined to win the Norfolk coast in the UK 5 million kilowatts of new wind farm contract. Reported that, in addition to the above-mentioned two companies, Germany’s RWE AG, British Scottish & Southern Energy Inc., the Norwegian State Power Company and other European energy companies will jointly participate in the British East Coast wind farm development plans. The plan is expected to total cost of about 35 billion pounds. According to the British Government, the United Kingdom by 2020 one third of the energy will come from wind power.
