The United States to develop wind power generation
The next few years, the U.S. wind power generation will be growing rapidly. 2010, U.S. wind power accounted for the proportion of the country’s total generating capacity from the current less than 1% to 5%.
Global Wind Energy Council released a report that in 2006 the newly installed U.S. wind power leads the world total electricity generator, to 2454 MW; ranked second in Germany, for the 2233 MW; ranked third in India, for the 1840 MW. But the United States in 2006 the total power of 11603 MW of wind power is still less than Germany, Spain, 11615 MW and 20621 MW, ranked third.
Experts believe that the U.S. wind power has great potential for development. Currently, the U.S. wind power accounted for the proportion of the total generating capacity of less than 1%, while Denmark, the proportion had reached 20%, Spain 9%. The United States has a good natural environment for wind power, and has technical advantages and policy support, wind power will have a big development in the United States.
It was reported that in 2007 worldwide sales of wind turbines is expected to 25.1 billion U.S. dollars, 201
